The traditional architecture of Southern Oaks golf course in Fort Worth allows the golf course to be as enjoyable for a player of average skill as it is for the player with a more advanced game. Wayward shots are not overly penalized, as water hazards and out-of-bounds are not an integral part of play. However, thoughtful shot-making and intelligent club selection are necessary to successfully avoid the strategically placed bunkers that await players on nearly every hole at Southern Oaks.
